Windows 24H2 Update
The latest update for Windows 11, the 24H2 update, is now available. Currently, it’s an optional update and is set to be gradually rolled out. If a user wishes, they can download and install it manually.
While updates often focus on security, the 24H2 is a features update. This type of update is about making the user experience a bit smoother, granting extra functionality, or both.
Notable features added in this release include new emojis, the ability to manage Copilot as an app that can be moved and resized, improved support for Bluetooth Low Energy Audio, and support for 7-Zip and TAR archives which will now be openable in the same way as ZIP files.
The update also removes Cortana, Wordpad, and Tips as these apps are no longer supported.
