About Us

What are our principles?

Solidarity IT was established in November 2016 by me, Andy Cooper and my colleague Valerie Green, to offer support and advice to all those for whom the complexities of IT are a burden and a distraction from achieving their business's goals.

Having worked in the IT departments of several major companies in the Exeter area, including the University of Exeter, the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and Exeter City Council, I was looking to make better use of the strong computer software and hardware skills I had developed and wanted to be my own boss. So, in November 2016 when positive change seemed to be in the air and charged with hope, I took a big step and set up Solidarity IT.

We chose the name Solidarity IT to encapsulate out vision of working together in tandem with others, our drive to support not just our own households, but other small and micro business owners on their own journeys.

The quirky character designs that are our brand and all the graphics are hers too and she looks after lots of other background tasks such as the Daily Safety Checks. Her involvement has enabled us to offer truly comprehensive support to our clients.

Solidarity IT provides a single point of contact for individuals and small businesses that do not have their own IT department.

Our services cover all aspects of IT support from help and advice in choosing computers and networks, setting up and managing computers for you, data management, remote support to keep your computers safe and up to date, repairing your systems should it have a fault and more.

We work with individuals and business of all types and sizes so even if you just need an email address set up or moved, we can help.
